The seventh house governs partnerships and unions. These are typically relationships that are formalized in some way, often legally. Marriage and formal business relationships are governed by this house. Look across the astrological wheel to its opposite house – the first house. If the first house is the house of self, then the seventh house is the house of the not-self, the house of other.
