Charity WaterWe love Charity : Water’s founder Scott Harrison’s story, not just because of his prolonged commitment (over 10 years) to building access for everyone in the world to clean water. But also, because Scott’s personal story is one that speaks of spiritual transformation and the power of the soul to do amazing things. He shows us how the soul’s call results in living a more creative, meaningful and  inspired life. He is an example of how, when we answer the call of spirit, our lives are uplifted, we transform ourselves, the lives we touch and the world.

And, we love his charity model! 100% of what is donated goes directly to clean water access. Administrative costs for the charity are raised separately, by him, so everything you donate will go to the work of improving the lives of others!

Why Charity : Water?

We chose the name “The Water Bearer” for our Charity : Water campaign. We are entering the age of Aquarius. The spiritual mantram of Aquarius is: Water of Life am I, Poured Forth for Thirsty Men. What better way to honor the energy of the age by supporting a cause that is so basic to all life, our survival as a species, and one that has such power to transform communities all of the world.

663 million people in the world live without clean water.

That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. Or, twice the population of the United States. The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick.

But access to clean water means education, income and health – especially for women and kids.
