Full Moon Magic

In the esoteric philosophy it is understood that constellations and planets are the bodies of highly evolved Beings, planetary and solar gods, so to speak.  As such they transmit energies.  Each month the sun enters a different constellation and as the time of the full moon approaches the energies become more intense.  At the exact moment of the full moon there is an alignment that takes place. An electromagnetic ray of golden light links the sun, moon, the earth and the constellation. This alignment is like a doorway to the spiritual realms, a portal that opens allowing the energies of the planets, rays, and the constellation to descend.  As energetic beings we are recipients of this down pouring so we feel the impact whether consciously or unconsciously. How the energies affect us is dependent on the level of consciousness we embody.  Are we solely identified with our personalities?  If so, then that’s where the impact will be felt.  Our ego selves will be stimulated.  If we have some measure of Soul infusion the energies will stimulate those qualities of the Soul that we embody and our consciousness will expand and evolve. Who of us wouldn’t like to live more from our Higher Selves? As we work each month in a conscious way those Soul qualities become embedded in our auras and we expand our consciousness and take an active role in our own spiritual evolution. In this way we can also serve more effectively as we use those energies to help uplift humanity.

The Fiery Energy of the Aries Full Moon

As the Sun enters the sign of Aries we welcome the fiery, initiating energy of Spring and the promise of new beginnings. This month we have several planets that converge to strengthen the initiating impulse, so we might be especially prone to impulsive actions and thoughtless activity.

Full Moon Meditation – Pisces

This month we celebrate the sun in the sign of Pisces and the moon in its opposite sign of Virgo. There are 5 planets in Pisces at the time of this full moon so we are flooded with this dreamy, mystical energy. Pisces is a water sign so we know that our emotional bodies will be highly sensitive this month. One of the most significant aspects of this full moon has to do with the planets Neptune and Saturn. Virgo is in opposition to Neptune and is trine to Saturn. What this asks of us is to access our unlimited imagination (Jupiter) and create the structure, (Saturn) to bring it into manifestation. Some good descriptive words for Pisces are: the dreamer, the mystic, the idealist, the martyr, the victim, the lost soul. At its highest expression Pisces can be a visionary, seeing the oneness in all things, and dreaming of how she can serve. But the lower octave of this energy can give her all in an attempt to save the world and thus martyr herself or begin to feel victimized by her sacrifices.

Full Moon Meditation – Paving the Way to a New Future

The mantram for Aquarius is “Water of life am I, poured forth for thirsty humanity.” Last month we climbed the mountain of Capricorn. We metaphorically let the energy of our spiritual aspiration carry us to the mountaintop where we were bathed in the light of transformation. Now, in Aquarius we are asked to descend from the mountain and pour forth the waters of light and life into the world, to share our gifts, to distribute and radiate our light.

Full Moon in Capricorn

The Sun is in Capricorn and the Moon is in Cancer. These two signs have a lot to offer one another. When they are blended and expressed at their highest levels they demonstrate the marriage of the Divine Masculine and Feminine energies, sometimes called the “marriage in the heavens.” Capricorn represents the Father principle and Cancer the Mother principle. This marriage must eventually take place within all of us. This particular full moon has some positive aspects that might help us maintain a more balanced emotional life, but change is in the air, dear ones. Uranus is active again with its energy of reformation.

Leo – Aquarius Full Moon 2017

This Leo/Aquarius full moon is inviting us to show up as our most radiant selves. With the Sun ruling Leo, we are given the opportunity to breath into and receive the warmth and healing powers of this sign. What gifts does Leo bring? The power of strong leadership. The self-discipline required to stand strong in our own sovereignty and the ability to look deeply within to find the Light that is always there.

Cancer Full Moon 2017

Full moons always heighten our awareness. Whatever is not in balance and integrity is challenged to evolve or dissolve. With the Sun in Cancer, representing the Mother principle, and the moon in Capricorn, representing the Father, we are asked to bring into balance the masculine and feminine energies within ourselves. We must learn to integrate assertiveness with cooperation, and bring our head and heart into alignment.

Gemini Full Moon 2017

The Gemini full moon is the last in the series of Three Spring Festivals. We began with the Aries Festival of the Resurrection, celebrating the new impulse of livingness associated with Spring. Then in Taurus we participated in a guided meditation to the Wesak Valley in Tibet where, according to the ancient legends, the Buddha returned to confer a powerful blessing upon the World Teacher, the Christ. In this context the Christ is the title given to the head of the spiritual hierarchy.

Taurus Full Moon – Festival of the Buddha

This full moon, the Wesak, is the second of Three Spring Festivals. Called the Festival of the Buddha, this is partially because, we are told, that the Buddha was born, reached enlightenment and died, all under the sign of Taurus. But, it is also called the Festival of the Buddha because it is during this full moon when the Buddhic energy of illumination and light most forcefully comes to earth.

Aries Full Moon Meditation – A Unique Opportunity

Every full moon is a period of unique opportunity. The spiritual realms are very close to us at these times and we can contact the energy of Light and Love that is channeled into the world. This energy benefits all of humankind. The first three full moons of the new zodiacal year, however, are said to be the most powerful of all the full moons. They constitute the spiritual high points of the entire year. The full moons in April, May and June are called the Three Festivals of Spring and they lay the foundation for the remaining 9 full moons. They form a powerful, energetic triangle of force that carries a tremendous potency.
