Spiritual Initiation represents milestones of development in the soul’s long evolutionary journey. Each one indicates that the soul has taken increased control over an aspect of the personality (ego). This module focuses on the incremental evolution of consciousness, and how each initiation indicates that the soul has taken dominion over a particular aspect of the personality.  William and Michelle will carefully consider these initiatory steps (leading to enlightenment) with a specific focus on the changing nature of consciousness that accompanies each.

These four modules explore spiritual initiation, the evolution of consciousness from awakening through incremental steps on the spiritual path. Topics covered in the discussion include:

Lesson1: The Inner Experience of Initiation [13:08]

• The fleeting experience of awakening
• The conscious search for the light of the soul and inner meaning
• Discovery of inner divinity
• The urge for self-improvement and purification

Lesson 2: The First and Second Initiation [11:45]

• The First Initiation is the beginning of infusion between the Soul and Personality. A widening of the capacity to love and an urge to serve. The Birth of the Christ in the heart is an arcane name for this step on the spiritual journey.
• There is an increasing mastery of the soul over the physical aspect of life.
• The Second Initiation, referred to as the Baptism, involves mastery over the emotional body.
• Mastery of the emotions without repression is a hallmark of this step. Emotions are fully expressed and used on behalf of the soul.
• A hallmark of this step is being able to rise above the emotional aspect of life and realizing that our valued ideals no longer serve us.
• Introduction to the concept of the observer

Lesson 3: Third Initiation  [8:05]

• The Third Initiation is also referred to as the Transfiguration.
• Mastery over the mental processes is the hallmark of the Third Initiation.
• The Soul and Personality are fully fused, making the individual entirely governed by the influence of the soul.
• Service in the world for these individuals tends to have a broad impact on the totality of humanity.
• The concept of the Causal Body is the container for the soul and the operational center of the individual.

Lesson 4: Fourth and Fifth Initiations  [15:07]

• The Fourth Initiation is referred to as the Crucifixion or the Renunciation.
• A Glimpse of the pure spirit, the ultimate you, that lies beyond the soul occurs for those preparing for the Fourth Initiation.
• The Fourth Degree Initiate eliminated all karmic debt. Because alleviation of karmic responsibility is the impulse for incarnation, this signals the end of the need to incarnate into human form.
• The Fifth Initiation is the realm of the Master.
• Mastery of the whole human experience is a hallmark of these individuals.
• Responsibility for the development of group work with others on a subtle level
