The day of the full moon is sometimes called the day of contact. On this day it is valuable to hold ourselves with inner silence, harmony, and listening. Meditation and alignment are especially beneficial during this time.
By intentionally connecting with others during the full moon, we create a powerful field of shared purpose. As a result, spiritual energies pour through us and throughout all life on the planet. Consequently, we benefit individually, but our efforts also support and serve the whole of humanity and the earth.
At the exact moment of the full moon, whatever time it occurs, it is helpful to be aware of and acknowledge the moment of the full moon. This time is sometimes referred to as the moment of contact. When we hold ourselves in this way, we make ourselves a receptacle for light and energies that are descending through the moons reflected sunlight.
Throughout the rest of the day of the full moon, it is helpful to hold an awareness of connection with the greater life. By doing this, we can be more powerfully influenced by the spiritual light, love, and power that is so potent at this time.
The two days following the full moon are called the days of assimilation, distribution, and radiation. The energies of the full moon can be powerful and transformative. Because of this, they can also be stimulating and reshaping for us. As a result, it is essential that we give the energies our attention so that they can be integrated into our physical, emotional and mental bodies.
So, what can we expect? We might recognize that meditation on these days bring us new inspirations and insights as to how we can better serve others. As we meditate, we sense or experience a revelation or awareness of how we can more effectively radiate our light out into the world.

Taurus Full Moon – Festival of the Buddha
This full moon, the Wesak, is the second of Three Spring Festivals. Called the Festival of the Buddha, this is partially because, we are told, that the Buddha was born, reached enlightenment and died, all under the sign of Taurus. This energy benefits all of humankind. The first three full moons of the new zodiacal year, however, are said to be the most powerful of all the full moons. They constitute the spiritual high points of the entire year. The full moons in April, May and June are called the Three Festivals of Spring and they lay the foundation for the remaining 9 full moons. They form a powerful, energetic triangle of force that carries a tremendous potency.
