A Gift of Darkness – Winter Solstice 2018

The Winter Solstice marks the long darkness of winter, which provides us with opportunities for solitude, quiet, and self-reflection. We benefit enormously by using this time to reflect on what the year has brought us. This year’s Winter Solstice is particularly powerful because Saturn, which in its home sign of Capricorn, is providing energetic emphasis for honesty, truth, and resolving problems.

Full Moon in the Sign of Capricorn 2018

The Winter Solstice occurs on December 21st when the Sun enters the sign of Capricorn at 2:23pm (PST) The very next day we have the Cancer full moon happening at 9:48am. (PST) These two events transpiring so close to one another makes the astrological aspects even more potent.

Hearing Through My Heart

I read the email and immediately felt stung by criticism. I tried to stay present to my reactions. I noticed my body sensations – the familiar block in my throat and tightness in my chest. Then I watched my thoughts and the stories that spun out in my head in response to the criticism.
