Mindful Heart Astrology: Cardinal Energy ~ Start of the Seasons
The signs in the zodiac are divided into three groups containing four signs each, and represent each of the elements (fire, earth, air, water). These groupings are known as the modes or qualities, also referred to as ‘quadruplicites’ since they represent four signs. The three modes are Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable, each describing a phase of a three-part process within each of the four seasons.
The Gift of True Being
Our greatest reward, our true being, comes when we are willing to face our fears and darkness head-on. When we are willing to go into the deepest part of the unconscious, called a transition zone, we can experience this as emptiness or a void. Following this path will bring you into contact with your real being.
Finding Sanctuary in the Subtle World
I began to find sanctuary in the subtle world when II began using flower essences and reading about the deva kingdom. I was introduced to the concept of co-creating with nature. That nature is a living intelligence and that we are hardwired to work in cooperation with these living beings. That they hold the blueprint for our evolution and they desire to work with us to assist us in our own processes of expansion. This was a completely new idea to me.

The shadow holds the deep, unexplored and powerful energies of creation, destruction, and passion. Civil society doesn’t encourage, or in many situations, permit, expression of these deeper energies.
