partial solar eclipseThe new moon/solar eclipse in Pisces occurs at 6:58am PST, on Sunday, February 26th. New moons occur when the Sun and Moon are sitting right next to each other in the sky, intensifying the energies of those two planets. Usually new moons represent new beginnings, a fresh start, but since this is the last of the current series of eclipses in Pisces and Pisces is also the last sign of the Zodiac, it can also signify endings. Since this eclipse also occurs in the South Node, symbolizing the past, we may be dealing with old outmoded behaviors or the lower octave of Pisces. These include patterns of defeatism, escapism, idealism and a tendency to sacrifice oneself in service to others. Where in your life might these patterns be manifesting and how can you begin to let them go?

In this particular new moon we have 7 points that are in the sign of Pisces. This is a lot of Piscean energy to deal with. We are plunged into the watery sea of emotional feelings and sensitivities between the conscious and unconscious. We must venture into the darkness to recognize and release that which is in need of healing. Our bravest action here is to surrender to the experience, accept it and try to see the light that is attempting to emerge out of the darkness.  This month demands that we go deep within to strengthen our connection to our inner wisdom and intuition.  It is a time of release and renewal before the new zodiacal year begins at the time of the Equinox on March 20th.

There is also a sense of urgency with this new moon. We are still under the influence of the Mars-Uranus conjunction.  We are urged to act fast, but with discernment. This is where the deep connection to our Soul can aid us. Sitting in meditation and spending time becoming aligned can assure us that whatever action we need to take will be for everyone’s highest good.

“If we truly want freedom, we must divest our creative energy from the systems that have never and will never grant us the success that is ours. Our imaginations, our creative contributions and our energetic support can be withdrawn from what will only suck our wells dry. We can reinvest that energy into a world that can hold us, reflect us and encourage our growth. This eclipse reminds us that when we do not release ourselves from what does not respect us, we will always be drained by its vampiric ways, but when we use our imagination for the purposes of recreation, we are capable of bringing into being everything we could ever hope for. Deepen Your Transformation

Pondering these questions as you enter into meditation this month, especially on the day of the full moon, can deepen your transformation.

How can I connect more deeply to my Soul that I might receive spiritual guidance that will aid me in taking “right action.”

Do I trust the intuitive wisdom that I receive from my dreams? (The energy of Neptune is very strong this month, making us particularly receptive to these kind of messages)

What motive underlies my desire to be of service? Am I sacrificing myself believing this is the way I must serve?

Is there something that needs to end, in my life, right now? What would help me let go?

Pisces New Moon and Solar Partial Eclipse

She Let Go

She Let Go

Without a thought or a word, she let go.

She let go of fear. She let go of judgments.

She let go of the confluence of opinions

swarming around her head.

She let go of the committee of indecision within her.

She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons.

Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry,

she just let go.

She didn’t ask anyone for advice.

She didn’t read a book on how to let go.

She just let go.

She let go of all the memories that held her back.

She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.

She let go of the planning and all of the calculations

about how to do it just right.

She didn’t promise to let go.

She didn’t journal about it.

She didn’t write the projected date in her Day-Timer.

She made no public announcement.

She didn’t check the weather report

or read her daily horoscope.

She just let go.

She didn’t analyze whether she should let go.

She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter.

She didn’t utter one word.

She just let go.

No one was around when it happened.

There was no applause or congratulations.

No one thanked her or praised her.

No one noticed a thing.

Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.

There was no effort. There was no struggle.

It wasn’t good. It wasn’t bad.

It was what it was, and it is just that.

In the space of letting go, she let it all be.

A small smile came over her face.

A light breeze blew through her.

And the sun and the moon shone forevermore
