The Gemini New Moon 2017

One of the rulers of Gemini is Mercury, the messenger of the gods, so this new moon will bring us plenty of new and stimulating ideas as well as opportunities to manifest our deepest desires. Gemini loves the new and exciting and the variety of different experiences. It is bored easily. However, these new ideas may meet with challenges and disapproval by others because of some stressful planetary configurations. There may also be periods of emotional unpredictability as these planets make their presence felt.

One challenging aspect has to do with an opposition between Mars and Saturn. Mars wants to charge ahead, wants action, wants results. Saturn says, “wait a minute, let’s figure this out, let’s make a plan.” So this configuration is asking us to hang in there and make an enduring effort, consider the consequences, and make sure we are being skillful in our attempts to effect change.

The planet Jupiter also plays a predominant role in this lunar cycle giving us the support we need to expand our vision of what is possible. We are asked to move beyond our limiting beliefs and to see the world from a larger perspective. Is our world view in alignment with how our Soul perceives reality?

There is feminine energy, (Venus) available to us this month as well, giving support to women’s rights, and advocacy and the possibility of a readjustment to that which is out of balance.
