Understanding the energies of the Taurus Full Moon
The sun entered the sign of Taurus on Tuesday, April 19th. Why is that important for us to know? Well, it means that since that day we have been receiving the energies of Taurus, whether we consciously recognize that or not. On the spiritual path we can hasten our evolution by our awareness of these energies and making a commitment to use them wisely.
Taurus transmits the energy of light, of illumination. In Taurus we willingly shine the light of the Soul onto our personalities and ask for those obstacles that might be in the way of our Soul’s purpose to be shown to us. Transformation then becomes possible.
On a more mundane level Taurus stimulates our desire nature. What is it we really desire and can we discern whether those wishes satisfy our egos or encourage us to connect more deeply to the Soul? As we become more infused with our Soul’s energy the month of Taurus can challenge us to transform those personality desires into spiritual aspiration. We can take that stimulation and use it for the expansion of Soul qualities within us. We are seeking illumination this month.
The Taurus full moon is said to be the spiritual highpoint of the year. The ancient wisdom teachings tell us that at this full moon the Christ and the Buddha meet in the Wesak Valley in Tibet. Together they blend their energies….the wisdom of the Buddha and the love of the Christ. These energies are then distributed to all of humanity at the Gemini full moon. So this is a moment of great potency. We become recipients of a powerful down-pouring of spiritual energy.
Questions to contemplate for this month:
Am I willing to take the energy of my desires and direct them toward a deeper connection to my Soul?
How might I do that in a practical way?
How can I radiate the love and wisdom that the Buddha and the Christ embody?
